New Shoes

Now that Maeve is officially walking (well, eight steps, fall down, eight more steps, fall down type of thing), I bought her some new shoes. One minor meltdown later, she loves them. Maeve was so funny when I first put them on her (aside from the meltdown.) She stomped her feet, wiggled them around and just stared at the them. Of course she wanted to taste them too. After a bit she was laughing and stomping around, clearly enjoying her shoes.

Here are some pictures. It was really hard to take a nonblurry picture. This child is in constant motion. :)

Cute!

I see doggies in most of the pics. Are they there because of her or because of you?

And how are they taking to her?

Smudge & Baby (the dogs) are in their favorite hangout positions, when not on the couch that is. :) Both took to Maeve right away and are very gentle with her. They don't rough house when she is around. Usually they just lie down when she approaches and maybe give her a little kiss.

I trained them both as therapy dogs, specializing in children. It was worth the time and effort, because these two are great with her and she adores them. Many more kisses are showered on them daily then I could possible dream of for myself. :)

What girl doesn't eventually come to love shoes? Even develop a shoe fetish! Lydia would own a shoe of the minute if I let her. Couldn't walk her through a shoe store w/o a tantrum :)
Maeve is so beautiful Laura!
